Locks the ledger enforces
Lock XRP or a token — time, secret or (demo) code decides the release; the ledger enforces it.
Why this matters
Vesting, deposits, milestone payments and collateral should not depend on anyone's promise. An XRPL escrow releases only when its time or its cryptographic condition is met — and since TokenEscrow it can hold a token, not only XRP.
What happens on the XRP Ledger
EscrowCreate locks the amount (XRP, a trust-line token whose issuer allows locking, or an MPT whose issuance allows escrow); EscrowFinish releases it after FinishAfter, with the fulfillment for a conditional escrow and credentials for a deposit-authorised destination; EscrowCancel returns it after CancelAfter. No party can move it early.

The LiquidLabs advantage
A four-step wizard for any asset the wallet holds, the condition generated in the browser, three signing paths, a live view of every lock and a desk for the operator. Features whose amendment is not on mainnet (smart escrow, price-conditioned release) are walked through as demos — labelled, never submitted — and the operator switches them on or off in the Journey Builder.
Services this module depends on
- Xaman (XUMM) API — signing for linked wallets; self-custody wallets sign in the browser, the vault signs server-side optional
Try it
- Open Escrow → New escrow
- Pick XRP or a token, set a release time
- Sign — then finish it from the escrow's page when the clock says so
