A card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay payment through SumUp becomes LAT — Liquid Asset Token, the platform's own token — or XRP, your choice, in a brand-new, activated wallet (the treasury pays the base reserve and hands you the keys) or, once you are signed in, straight into a wallet you already have.

For a new wallet, a platform wallet whose only job is activation sends the base reserve to your brand-new address. Your own wallet is already activated — nothing to pay.
The funding wallet sends the LAT or XRP you bought — after the wallet has a trust line for it, which we open for a new wallet and for platform-custody wallets.
